Campitello di Fassa
Lying at the slopes of the five fingers of the Sassolungo, grouped at the opening of the Val Duron, is the little municipality of Campitello di Fassa. This splendid village with ancient roots, as well as benefitting from the title “primary alpine tourist centre” of the valley, is framed by one of the most evocative and stirring landscapes of the Dolomites. Whilst the summer is painted with the colours of the paragliders and hang-gliders that skim over the spires of the Col Rodella and is dotted with groups of hikers, the winter is a white canvas where skiers’ tracks merge along the snow-clad pistes from the solitary tops to the valley bottoms.
