Moena, the fairy of the Dolomites
The small town of Moena, embraced and protected by the Latemar, Valacia and Costalunga groups, is surrounded by fragrant woods and sunny meadows, and is hinged between the Val di Fassa and the Val di Fiemme. Nicknamed “the fairy of the Dolomites” due to its enchanting beauty, it is the theatre of the most evocative natural phenomenon of the Eastern Alps: the so-called Enrosadira [becoming rosy], which at sunset paints the tops a warm reddish hue. It is along the pistes and paths around Moena that the Marcialonga and the Rampilonga races take place.
